Silver Bow County Airport name changed to Bert Mooney Airport
 
November 1983 Northwest Airlines announces it is discontinuing service to Butte after fifty years of service.  
1988
Delta Airline begins servicing Butte, merging with Western's operations  
1988 Skywest  Airlines begins service to Butte with 30 passenger Brazalia  
1991 Horizon Airlines begins service to Butte  
1991 New terminal construction completed at cost of $1.8 million  
1993 Delta announces it is suspending operations as of April 1994  
1993 Skywest (Delta Connection) announces it will bring jet service to Butte  
September 2001 All air service is halted due to September 11, terrorist attacks  
November 2002 TSA Take over Airport Security screening. Also,  all checked bags are screened with Explosive Trace Detection systems.
